Linda-/Lyon's battery is a lithium-ion battery with LG cells built into the down tube. One of the most important features of the battery is that it has double current protection. This means there is no risk of explosion or fire. The BMS (Battery Management System) monitoring protects the battery from overcharging and overheating during charging.
